Deuter - Henon (1992)

Deuter es un ciudadano del mundo, un artista que ha querido fundir Oriente y Occidente no sólo musical sino también espiritualmente. Además su mente no está anclada únicamente en la tradición sino que acepta de buen grado la tecnología y los nuevos retos del siglo XXI (sus composiciones pueden estar inspiradas tanto por el bosque petrificado como por los fractales). Por su música parece fluir la alegría de la vida, para llevarnos "a ese lugar hermoso dentro de cada oyente, donde puede experimentar el calor, el amor, la compasión, la suavidad". "Henon" fue su último disco para Kuckuck, siendo New Earth Records su nueva ubicación discográfica. Con este estupendo trabajo Deuter demostró no sólo que con el paso de los años y los discos no había perdido la inspiración sino que, en este momento de cambios, se mantenía como uno de los grandes referentes de la New Age, una música que caminaba segura hacia el nuevo siglo.

Deuter is the seminal New Age musician, active for over 30 years! Also a Reiki practitioner, Deuter lives and works in the mountains of Santa Fe, NM, creating the contemplative, healing music he has become renowned for. Through feeling, awareness and experience, and constantly inspired by the natural world around him, he creates music that transports the listener to a space of peacefulness and wellbeing. He continues to earn and master an ever-expanding array of instruments including the drums, shakuhachi, cello, koto, sitar, Tibetan singing bowls, santoor, buzuki, and keyboards. Deuter was one of the first artists on the Celestial Harmonies Kuckuck label with thirteen titles, as well as the musical score of a picture poem released on the MonteVideo label. These recordings offer his unique uplifting melodies played on flute, guitar and synthesizer, blended with the sounds of nature. His creations incorporate a lightness of spirit, a depth of vision and a musical medley of East and West. Deuter himself is a product of both East and West, born in 1945, in a small village of post-war Germany. As a child, he learned flute and taught himself guitar and harmonica. Together, these Kuckuck releases represent the first twenty-one years of Deuter's exceptional music, a spectrum of radiant outpourings and quiet meditations.
