Eric Tingstad & Nancy Rumbel - Acoustic Elegance (2003)

 

Gran colección de 31 piezas musicales acústicas que son simplemente hermosas. Este " Duo" ha lanzado consistentemente música hermosa para el sello Narada; mi primera prueba de su talento fue en su ahora clásico lanzamiento navideño The Gift. Sólo hizo falta escuchar ese CD para convencerme de que estas dos personas realmente están conectadas musicalmente de una manera única. Sin duda, hay una combinación de instrumentos, pero es la ejecución: el oyente "siente" la música

Conozco la música del guitarrista Eric Tingstad y la oboísta Nancy Rumbel desde hace muchos años. A través de Narada conocí mucha música y artistas nuevos, incluido este dúo. Tingstad y Rumbel hacen canciones instrumentales fáciles de escuchar. Algunas canciones, como Clancy's Heart, incluso me hacen derramar una lágrima. Una sorpresa para mí es que este álbum doble contiene una versión diferente de una de mis canciones favoritas: Oaks. La grabación que ya conocía está en el CD de Woodlands.

Eric Tingstad - Nancy Rumbel - Homeland (1990)

El sonido pastoral de Tingstad y Rumbel es un poco más agresivo en este álbum, debido a un énfasis rítmico más fuerte y la aparición de más de una docena de artistas invitados. Sin embargo, el efecto general sigue siendo sutil, con fragmentos de influencias orientales y sudamericanas mezcladas con la fusión habitual del dúo de influencias populares clásicas y norteamericanas.

Legends / Emerald es un cd doble de clásicos ambientales acústicos del sello Narada. El disco uno Legends presenta a Eric Tingstad y Nancy Rumbel en su mejor momento. Es uno de sus primeros álbumes, y preparó el escenario para muchas maravillas por venir.
Eric Tingstad (guitarra) y Nancy Rumbel (instrumentos de viento: oboe, clarinete, occarina) han estado haciendo álbumes acústicos de pura belleza ganándose dos premios Grammy en su carrera.
Este crucial relanzamiento de dos álbumes iniciales muestra cuán importante y bello es su trabajo inicial.

In The Garden es un conjunto muy feliz de composiciones instrumentales ambientales en homenaje a "(Los jardineros) la experiencia más directa e íntima con la naturaleza", la jardinería. Eric Tingstad y Nancy Rumbel, ambos jardineros musicales ávidos, han compuesto, arreglado, y realizado estas piezas deliciosas para honrar a varios jardines y a la esencia misma de la jardinería, en comunión con la naturaleza.
